"It's heart-warming to see the difference WHP can make"
Where are you from?
I live in Wraysbury

How long have you been volunteering with WHP?
About 5 years now (time flies when you're having fun!).

What brought you to WHP?
At the time, I was looking for a local volunteering opportunity.
I had noticed, and was sad to see, more and more people on the streets of Windsor. I found WHP through a websearch and got in touch to find out more. I liked what I saw, applied... and the rest is history!

What do you find most rewarding about volunteering for WHP?
I have got to learn and understand much more about the reasons for, and challenges of homelessness.
It is very complex but it is heart-warming to see the difference the existence of WHP can make to many of our guests.
I was surprised that the charity received no government funding - which means that a lot of effort also had to go into fundraising to continue to support the vulnerable .
Also it is inspiring to work amongst such a lovely group of people - other volunteers, the managers, the local community, and, of course our guests. I learn so much from everyone.

I definitely get as much back from volunteering as I give. It’s a win win!
