How long have you been volunteering with WHP? 

18 months - since the start of the pandemic

 

What brought you to WHP? ​

I work in hospitality, and when we went into lockdown, I was at a bit of a loss of what to do. I contacted WHP to see if I could be of any use. Luckily they had room for me to put my chef skills to use!

 

What do you find most rewarding about volunteering for WHP? 

I love the unknown. I enjoy not knowing what that day will be like. I find it very rewarding to see how much the project does to enable our guests to get back on their feet.

We get so many donations from people, and from local businesses too. The generosity of the local community this year has been immense.
