Richard, who lives in Wraysbury, has been volunteering for WHP for a year now. He told us that he wanted to volunteer with WHP because of the experiences of people close to him.

“I’ve friends who have become homeless. It made me realise how many people are only 1 or 2 paycheques away from being in this position”.

Richard says that the most rewarding part about volunteering for WHP is “helping to give people a place to come, and talk, and be treated as they should be - like real people.” He enjoys making people smile, and feel welcomed.
